Emotions, Colors and Sounds
Rafaël Rozendaal is a Dutch/Brazilian Visual Artist living in New York. He has work with prestige institutions such as Centre Pompidou, Kunstverein Frankfurt, TSCA Gallery Tokyo, Seoul Art Fair, Media Art Institute and the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.

With the idea of the internet as his canvas, he has created incredible digital art works that are all over the internet, which means all over the world.
Its really important to understand how the digital media and the internet has change our society, which means it has change the world of art and the way art is distributed. The internet has become an open museum for everyone in any part of the world. With just a click you can study the greatest artist of art history. You can navigate through an ocean of artistic information that goes from the beginning of paleolitic societies, roman art, then skip to the great impressionists and end up right at the click your making to analyze uncountless works of art.
Rozendaal's WebPages’ are for sell to collectors, but they always have to be open to the public. As he says "I can see that as an act of vanity, but also as an act of generosity". This makes me think about the value that Net-Art may have on the internet. It makes me question what is the value of an art peace? What makes an art work worth what it worth? What is the purpose of an art collector? What makes him/her buy a special work of art? What role does the Internet play on the future of art? These ones and millions of more questions fallow me until the point of creating this Exhibition.

ENJOY!
